The transfer rate for my house is huge. People arrive at the place, live there for a bit and after a while go off to other places. Since I first came, I’ve shared the house with a total of thirteen people over the past two years. The latest in this series moved in last Saturday, a pretty young Asian thing by the name of Louise. She had recently arrived in Australia, having spent the past year in Holland. Like many of my previous housemates, she goes to Taylor’s College, down the road. I’ve never been to that place, had never heard of it until I moved in. Now it seems every one of my housemates studies there. Anyway…I think she’s pretty cool, and Mike agrees. It was a relief, actually, that we weren’t getting another anti-social housemate like the Parasite that came around March this year. I do not remember being woken up at 4am by loud music and drunken shouting with fondness. Quite the opposite, in fact.
Re-enrolled my units for next semester: two Psychology and one Media studies. My timetable isn’t too bad: all afternoon classes with the exception of Tuesday morning where I start at 8:30. I’m looking forward to seeing my friends who I don’t see outside university, and it’ll be interesting to see who’s dropped out of the course this time. My course also has a high transfer rate.
