Man, I don’t know what the deal is with the weather in Australia at the moment but I think this diagram summed up the situation in January quite succinctly.
And just as Queensland started its recovery from the Floods, now we’ve got this stupidly large cyclone coming our way. Seriously, it’s like the size of several European countries. Just look at this thing.
For frame of reference, the eye of Hurrican Katrina was 50km. Cyclone Yasi’s eye is 100km.
It pretty much looks like a hypnotic Eye of Sauron when viewed on those weather pattern maps.
I have no witty comment to add to this.
Just hope that you and the rest of Queensland are for the most part fine after what seems to be the mother of all cyclones hits your shores.
