We had a relatively low key Christmas this year. We usually try and catch up with our parents during the holiday season which means a trip to Malaysia, China or New Zealand but none of that was on the cards this year. So instead we spent Christmas with the Halligan clan in Brisbane.
On Christmas Eve we had a celebratory dinner at 85 Miskin St.
We got our own private room which was pretty cool
Sweet pea ham broth
Pork belly, quince and caramelized apple
Slow cooked turkey and prosciutto
Meringue and sorbet
We went to Dom’s for Christmas morning for breakfast and opening prezzies.
Dom’s Christmas tree is sparse but oddly zen

Sarah got her hands on my camera and took a few selfies of her own
Modern Family
Dom and Anika’s poached eggs with avo. It was delicious.
We went home and chilled out in the afternoon, playing board games
For the eighteenth consecutive year I received an orange for Christmas #mildlyinteresting
Then Jen served up Christmas Day lunch
Avocado and pea soup
Roast turkey
“Mangomisu”
As usual, the family were super generous with gifts. This is my Christmas Day haul. Plenty of Star Wars, football stuff, Lego and video games. I was happy.
All in all, it was a good Christmas.
Hey is that grey hair I see Edo!
Lol, thats why I have a strategically worn santa hat on in most of these pictures
