My Mum and Dad passed through Brisbane at the end of April on their way to New Zealand. It was a FIFO weekend visit.
My folks have been to Brisbane a bunch of times in the past but we’ve never really had the opportunity to dine out and have a degustation dinner together. We thought that their silver wedding anniversary would be a good occasion to break that duck and where better to go than one of our favourite restaurants in Brisbane – 85 Miskin St.
We had the eight course degustation. I feel like this style of dining can be a bit hit and miss depending on the person and I wasn’t totally sure what my dad would say when he was served a dish with pork, black pudding and mustard flavoured ice cream together. Fortunately, both my parents enjoyed the experience and 85 Miskin St was ever reliable with its delicious food and friendly service.
We capped off the evening with a couple of single malts back home 🙂
