I turned 32 on Sunday July 20. I had a week of celebrations!
I went to the park with my friends. We ate cheese, drank wine and played football under the harsh Brisbane winter.
We had a 12 course banquet at Gerard’s Bistro. There was about 80 of us eating at one huge table.
I got lots of lovely prezzies including beer, wine, whisky and a t-shirt with whisky on it.
Even though I’ve only been working in my office for six weeks, my colleagues made me a personalized card and got me a gift voucher to buy the new Brisbane Roar top.
I flew to New Zealand to visit my brother Stu, his wife Cherie and their daughter Abby.
Abby is pretty cool.
She walks on the ceiling like Spider-Pig.
She’s not yet 3 but she likes to read books.
My bro took me to his work and showed me his ‘office’. He’s been driving trains for 12 years now.
We went to the Football United Double Header at Westpac Stadium. Wellington Phoenix vs Newcastle United and West Ham United vs Sydney FC!
There was a lively crowd of 32,000 in attendance. A great turn out for football in New Zealand. West Ham got absolutely thumped 3-1 by Sydney FC (?!) and Wellington Phoenix put in a respectable performance going down 1-0 to Newcastle.
The next day we caught up with friends and got a bite to eat.
And something to drink.
We caught up with my brother-in-law Matt who works as a chef in Wellington.
It was a pretty hectic week but I’m pretty happy with my how I celebrated my 32nd. Here’s to a good year ahead!
