Nothing made me realize just how big of a revival Lego has experienced in the last ten years or so than by learning Brisbane has enough talented builders to host their own expo. Actually scratch that. It’s not even Brisbane really. Just a suburb in the North called Strathpine that put this show together in their local community centre.
BrisBrick was pretty great. There was a great spread of old classic Lego (Space! Fabuland!) and newer stuff. There was an amazing replica of the parliament building built by the local MP (!) and one of our most talented builders in town is so successful his Ghostbusters MOC was picked up and officially licensed by the Lego Ideas brand to be marketed as an actual product.
Anyway, here are a smattering of photos I took on the day.
