When Neil deGrasse Tyson’s Cosmos show began airing on Fox, there were certain religious pundits who took exception to the show’s unwillingness to show a Creationist viewpoint of the origins of the universe. I’ve always been kind of curious as to how that would be represented.
The situation reminds me of schools in America’s South that want creationism taught side by side with evolution. I understand the reason, but not how the execution would work. Wouldn’t it be a single page leaflet that says ‘God did it’?
Veep‘s Timothy Simons appeared on Funny or Die last week to give us an idea of how a Creationist version of Cosmos might play out. I thought it was worth sharing.
