Some days just come together perfectly. Friday 22nd November was like that.
The new Xbox One game system launched at midnight and I picked up my copy along with 3 games. I didn’t have work in the morning because for once I had the foresight to book in some annual leave. I spent most of the day at the Gabba watching Australia’s bowling attack dismantle England (#returntheurn, #gabbatoir) stopping only to have a delicious steak lunch at The Norman Hotel. After stumps at 5.30, I went to Caxton Street for the top of the table clash between Brisbane Roar and Western Sydney Wanderers. We had never beaten the Wanderers and it was also Besart Berisha’s first game back after a month of injury. We won in emphatic style 3-1 and returned to the top of the table.
All in all, a perfect day. Wouldn’t change a thing.
