The successor to the Xbox 360 was unveiled this week from Microsoft. Microsoft’s Dom Mattrick announced the Xbox One, which is expected to be released later this year. In a slightly unexpected move, the conference focused less on games and more on the system’s ability to multitask and switch from gaming to tv without changing the channel. This tv-watching capability direct from the game controller will save you about five seconds as you no longer have to pick up the tv remote and press the button that selects your AVI input. The Xbox One will also allow you to integrate your fantasy football league stats over sports you watch.
Neither the tv watching or fantasy football feature are available at launch outside of America.
We presume in a few weeks time at E3, we’ll actually get some…y’know, games.
