Erik Paartalu, who has appeared in 85 consecutive A-League and Asian Champions league matches for the Brisbane Roar, is leaving the club to play in the Chinese Super League.
In the last two seasons he’s been an absolute beast in his defensive midfield role. His composure and passing precision in the centre of the field meant that he was the lynchpin for many Brisbane Roar counter attacks and he lead the league in completed passes. He scored some pretty handy goals during his two years at the Roar but of course he’ll be most fondly remembered for his last gasp equalizing goal in the Grand Final.
